Our strongest wheels feature a choice of 32mm or 37mm internal width rims in 6069 aluminium to stand up to any type of riding. Mullet you bike with choice of widths on front and 37mm only for rear 27.5″

The massive rim widths provides excellent stability to tyres, tubeless or not, from around 2.4 to 3.2″ width. Built for strength not light weight, these wheels come in at 2190g but the great handbuilt quality keeps them lively. Great for e-bikes too.

We can build variations with standard hubs 6-bolt J-bend hubs for no additional cost but there may be a small delay as these are not built as stock versions.

Core series wheels

Our back to basics wheel range, we’ve cut out the frills – such as colours and kept to simpler specs to keep the price down. But we haven’t compromised on the build quality or the wheels core functionality, hence the name Core wheels.
  • TPI steel bearings not TPI stainless steel – Excellent bearing without the top prices we pay for stainless
  • Sapim silver brass pro-lock nipples used throughout – These reduce the wheel building time by being non-binding
  • J-bend hubs The lowest price and most reliable hubs in our range
    Limited options allow us to build multiple wheels at once saving time in the workshop.
  • Limited logos Smaller logos that take less time to etch

All our wheels are still handbuilt in our York workshop with the same high quality of finish, backup and warranty you would expect.

our hubs

Just Riding Along wheelsets are built around premium quality hubs from Bitex in Taiwan. We have used these hubs on all of our own-brand wheelsets since 2014 with proven reliability and durability.

warranty

All wheels include a 5 year warranty on hub shells, and 3 year on all other parts.

Bearing wear is not included.

drive

6 pawls in 2 groups engage the drive ring inside the hub shell. The groups are offset slightly to double the points of engagement (POE) for a fast response to pedal input. M-type hubs have 6.7 degree, 54 POE, R-type hubs have 7.5 degree, 48 POE.

ready built wheels

This wheelset is built in our workshop in advance so you can receive it quicker. We normally despatch the wheels in 1-2 days and you should receive them the next day.

what’s included

  • Wheels are set-up with the axles and freehub you have selected.
  • All wheels have tubeless tape applied.
  • There are no additional parts provided.

build quality

During the building process all components are bedded in, stretched, and tensioned repeatedly so the wheels won’t go out of true. We inspect, check and finish every wheel with equal care.
